Hygiene in animal houses is of key importance to animal health and productivity. Dezosan Wigor® is a specialised dry disinfectant that effectively eliminates bacteria, viruses and pathogens responsible for diseases in farm animals. Its formula makes it possible to immediately reduce pathogen pressure and ensure long-term protection in livestock facilities. The biocidal effect of the product was confirmed in tests by the National Veterinary Institute and Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Dezosan Wigor lowers the pH of disinfected surfaces to a level that prevents the growth of most bacteria, viruses and protozoa, including oocysts of coccidia – parasites responsible for coccidiosis, one of the most common diseases of poultry and pigs. The reduction of coccidia oocysts is as high as 75%, which makes this product one of the most effective tools to prevent the disease. Moreover, the product reduces ammonia emissions by up to 70%, which is of key importance to the health of animals and people who work in animal houses. A high concentration of ammonia and other harmful gases leads to the irritation of mucous membranes, respiratory problems, drops in productivity and increased susceptibility to infection. Thanks to its drying effect, Dezosan Wigor limits the growth of flies and other insects whose larvae develop on moist surfaces. The product contains a natural eucalyptus aroma that additionally repels insects and makes interiors smell fresh, which improves the comfort of farmers’ work. It can be used on slatted and solid surfaces, as well as various types of bedding, which makes it a universal solution in farming different animal species.
