High-yielding dairy cows are especially vulnerable to the adverse effects of mycotoxins and oxidative stress, which adversely affects their immunity, physical condition and milk production. ToxControl Ruminants is a specialised product that works in a multi-directional way – it not only adsorbs toxins from feed, but also supports the detoxification of the body and protects animals from oxidative stress. It is effective thanks to the LAB postbiotic, which contains J-zyme® enzymes that can enzymatically biotransform toxins into harmless compounds. This is particularly important in the case of zearalenone (ZEN) and trichothecenes (DON), which are some of the most dangerous mycotoxins for cattle. MOS and beta-glucans from yeast cell walls provide additional protection. MOS block the adhesion of pathogens to intestinal epithelium, reducing the risk of infection, whereas beta-glucans support immunity and improve the functioning of the digestive tract. The product also contains chemically-activated minerals, such as bentonite, clinoptilolite and kaolinitic clay that effectively adsorb aflatoxins, ochratoxins, fumonisins and endotoxins, without disrupting the assimilation of microelements and vitamins. The TopLiver composition of phytogenics (milk thistle, artichoke and common dandelion) supports liver detoxification and regeneration, which is the key to effective metabolism and milk production. Moreover, the algae extract rich in astaxanthin is a strong antioxidant that protects the body against free radicals, supporting immunity and limiting the negative impact of oxidative stress on dairy cows.
